Automotive analogy.
So, my car is a Big American V8 Boat. It smells like your Grandmothers Car inside.
But it's a Special piece of american steel. Sure, it's the plain as dirt 4.6 ford block, but it's got Special parts right from the factory, Twice the cams, twice the valves.
So it Sounds and Pulls like a big clunky V8, but it Revs like a svelte japanese 4 cylinder.
And it's a Unit-Body frame, like a Car, not a Rail frame, like a Truck.
And it's front wheel drive, transverse engine, like a Car, not Inline, rear wheel drive like a Truck or muscle car.
And instead of being Stripped, loud, uncomfortable, and impractical, it's Comfortable, and plush, and smooth, and quiet. The engine will still announce itself, but it's not even Trying at 50mph, and it Cruises at 90.
And everything about the Aesthetics, the feel, the way you Drive the thing... It's it's own thing. It's nostalgic, the way a Remix of 60s pop songs is.
And there's something So gratifying about actually driving the Last Of It's Kind. There's still Continentals around and about, but they were Rare then, they're Rarer now.
