Hot take
Transition is a powerful personal force for good for most of my friends.
But the Active Mechanism here is Questioning, self-discovery, openness to new ideas and a Rite of Passage given by a community based around Shared Suffering, with a chemical Sacrament.
Anyone can do this, but it's Hard. And Cispeople have been Handed their paradigm by Industries with a Vested Interest in uniform consumers.
Like "Here, just wear this AXE bodyspray and this Expensive Shirt, and you'll never have to become a better person or stop your problematic behaviors!"
That's what we're Really complaining about with Cis, straight people. It's not about their Gender, or Sexuality.
It's because they're Boring, Insecure, and they're wondering why They don't have a big supportive community with it's own culture. They're Normies, Yuppies, Bootlickers to the Corporate Machine.
And they're saying "Hey, if Your thing is so Awesome, that makes My thing LESS awesome!" And it isn't true. Their thing has been Mediocre Forever. It's always been culturally bankrupt.
We all decided we needed to change to be our Best Self. A lot of little changes happen along the way. Normies get told they already Are their best self, just keep buying Products to be Sexy and Desirable.
