@Motodrachen @Zeny what about powerbikes (normal bikes with a little screamer of a motor bolted on)
@Motodrachen @Zeny
:o
...
:D
I'll try to make sure to share mine when I get it going!
@Motodrachen @Zeny
so I finally, FINALLY got a bike that'll fit the motor. it's got super-skinny tires with a funky "Presta" valve stem that I'm going to ned to buy adapters for, but those are $5/pair. no pictures yet, I had to get it in the car quickly before rain caught up with us. it's got a 7-speed internal hub-shifter that i'm going to need to move the shifter handle to the left side to accomidate the motor grip throttle. but the motor fits in it with plenty of space!
@Motodrachen @Zeny ... we seem to have encountered a problem. the sprocket won't fit on the 7-speed internal-gear hub
@Motodrachen @Zeny yep. standard 9-bolt rag hub with 1.5" center
@Motodrachen @Zeny I need a 44t with 2.5" center hole and 105-110mm diameter hole pattern, and the corresponding mounting kit, suitable for the large diameter hub inside too.
@Motodrachen @Zeny problem: it uses a very non-standard (even for Shimano) brake spline - 'nexus square spline', which is, perhaps obviously, not compatible with the more common Shimano triangular splines. I can find exactly one source for an adapter, and it costs 50 Euros from a bikeshop in germany
@Motodrachen @Zeny however, the OD of the spline nicely matches the ID of the sprocket, so I may be able to use the pineapple rags with some modification of the sprocket and rags. I DO have a drill press, so drilling precisely-located holes is not out of my skills
