Trans Stuff (-)

Being around cis people, even well meaning cis people, is just exhausting. I need more trans friends. I feel invisible all the time. I have to constantly remind people about my name and pronouns.

I don't think it's lack of empathy or effort, I legitimately feel like they just don't get it.

Not being able to talk to people who understand me just makes me feel robbed not only of my womanhood, but my personhood. Cis people don't value me as a person so much as they do a character.

@MadestMadness Anyone who hasn't had to go through the Long, Hard look at Identity that Transness requires doesn't Know that much about themselves, or doesn't Wanna know.

Our Society has made empathy, Real empathy, painful for most people. To understand Who you really Are now that you've examined yourself and shed a redundant paradigm of Self is almost impossible for most folks, because they can't imagine what they think of as the life they're Currently living being a sort of social performance.

Take a moment and consider that to anyone who's been affirmed all their lives that their paradigm of life is the Correct one, Social Agency is a novel and disturbing concept.
The cognitive dissonance that results from accepting the fact that people Do have agency over what makes up who they are is the result of Identity for so many people being tied up in Consumer Products.

You don't have a Place neatly outlined for you in the consumer ecosystem, therefore you must not be engaging in a Real Thing.

It's sneaky and subliminal but Pervasive.
