I've ridden a horse twice in my life, both times I was given "the horse that doesnt like people"
the first time I was like 8, and I only remember the bit where the horse stumbled cuz we were too close to the edge of the path, which was a cliff a couple hundred feet up

the second time I was 12 or 13 and I picked the horse and walked over with my hand out and the handler freaked right the fuck out cuz that horse had a habit of biting fingers
it nuzzled my hand instead, and after a talk with my mom about how this horse usually hates people so it's not getting enough exercise but it likes me so... they decided to let me ride it
that was a fun day, we ran all over the place, off path, circles around the main group of people, I think about that horse all the time
