Anyone here good at teaching electric guitar?

Even basic chords. I picked up a guitar at Savers for fifteen bucks and really do wanna learn to play, but have no idea where to begin.

Well, besides having enough cabling and stereo equipment to have it jacked into my Pc and running thru my big stereo.

So, it's tuned-ish, needs new strings and the bridge adjusted, but it works.

@Motodrachen I've been fiddling with guitars for quite a few years, but can't say I can "play" it. However, I can say, learn to read TABs. They'll show you how to finger the chords.

@Motodrachen Also, if you just want to make some ok sounds, you can use "power chords", which are basically just 2 or three strings. They all have roughly the same pattern, pick one of the top two strings when holding it normally, pick a space between two frets and press it, now with another finger, skip one fret towards the body, and move one string down, then fret two strings. Play all three.

Works well with distortion.
