With the lights all worked out.... Now I have to repair the spokes. I think I can get a replacement spoke set from a local bike shop
@Motodrachen i got several broken spokes from a derail, and the rest are bent substantially from the torque of the motor. Looking for a more suitable hub, this 7 speed is cool but not practical for this

@hyratel oooof. Yeah that was my concern about mid motors.

@Motodrachen they're straight-cut too; I'm thinking I should find a hub meant for a disk brake because the center hole of the sprocket seats nicely over the brakehub spline. debating if it's worth it to try and build a wheel From Parts, get this one fixed, or buy one off the rack

@Motodrachen
So $30 later, i have a new half-set of spokes, and a Task ahead of me. Time to learn how to lace a wheel

@Motodrachen looked up a few vids, and managed to dial it in to under 1/16" runout in ~ 20 mins. now I need to balance the tension. very little (if any) Dish to this wheel, single sprocket hub

@Motodrachen I got it running dead-nuts true, and then had to do that all over again after attaching the sprocket. AND DID SO.
