cannabis, pluralstuff, long ish
sitting here rather high and thinking about ourselves.
we've still got some things about ourselves we're not sure about and may never be tbh, but, it's also something that doesn't really bother us right now.
like, what even *are* we. We have no easy words to describe an... aspect? of our plurality that feels discontinuous with the pattern.
like, s1 and s4 fit sort of neatly into the left brain / right brain... pattern we've noticed in a lot of systems. but what about null, where does zhe fit in?
are we some sort of median? we don't know enough about median plurality to say.
our switching is near seamless, our memories as far as we can tell 100% shared, and sometimes we feel less like separate entities and more... distinct facets of the same entity? and yet we're separate enough as to have different but overlapping sets of mannerisms, voices, motor skills, likes, etc etc.
if we were less high atm this would be a bit... disquieting. as it is, *shrug*. future us's problem.
cannabis, pluralstuff, mh (extremely negative), swears
@nautilee no, that's normal too. The mechanism of action is Hyper-empathy.
Goes way past that too. Systems aren't locally constrained either. They can jump from meat brain to meat brain and still be themselves.
The quest for Self is a challenge under these circumstances. It does exist, and you folks Are Individuals.
The imposter syndrome means the inverse of what you think: only actual plurals feel it regularly.
