@Motodrachen what does this even mean, like heck there's people that have died because of the state's unpreparedness and they didn't deserve that, regardless of being strong or not
i'm definitely ready to get out the guillotines, actually
@astra I shoulda been more sensitive, I just have this image of a Tanuki Fae Witch looking approximately Spherical for a week, covered in warm sweaters, rolling back and forth between the couch and kitchen on fifty layers of hand knit wool.
And forgetting most Texans have no idea what it means when it stays below freezing for a week.
winter hell
@Motodrachen
now i know though. the nights where it was in the single digits are something else. none of our houses are made for this, and the infrastructure isn't either. i heated my lil room with a tea lights/clay pot thing, which was nice. i had lighting because i have USB fairy lights. i had a shirt, a sweater, and a baja jacket on for days straight.
winter hell
@Motodrachen anyway haha the tiredness has hit me so hard
winter hell
@Motodrachen oh this is completely true. most of us have experienced a night or 2 when it was in the 20s. but it was single digits, then we had an ice storm, then a snow storm, and another ice storm. power lines and branches came down, everyone was stuck. including natural gas deliveries for electricity
people kept asking me if the streets were gonna get plowed and i'm like haha you think texas has plows??? we got rid of sanding trucks apparently. and we saw this storm coming
