re: lewd ish?
@ratbite666 Dunno, drive up here sometime and you can try your might in a fuck tournament with some of the greatest fuck masters of the northeast.
@SixArmedSweater I have it on good authority they prefer the term Messengers.
And you're absolutely correct. We've got one here from Quetzal.
@Cilich At least once a week we steal the other person's leggings.
I've just had to let Karen annex anything she thinks is cute.
One of the issues with sharing your life with someone so thoroughly that you share a wardrobe is that you kinda both end up the same gender presentation.
In 2009, my wife and I were sharing graphic tees and jeans and hoodies.
A decade later and we're sharing leggings and skirts and dresses and colorful blouses and when one of us does bust out the jeans/gamer tee look it's usually her.
re: tran passing stuff
@TrannyOakley@queer.party Good.
I was born outside it, got subjected to it, tried to keep to the tenets and saw it all fall apart.
The gender binary in General is starting to seriously disintegrate, as bridges are built both ways and more individual representations are Valid.
Or put another way: The Cis, Hetero, Normal viewpoint no longer represents the Real World in a meaningful way. We get to make our own truth, from household chemicals.
re: Multi thoughts, drug reference
@Felthry This was being able to naked eye see the bubbles and fibers. And then later on, I got a good look at all the spectrum of light our brains cut out automatically as 'Not relevant'
LSD does some interesting stuff to the autistic brain.
re: Multi thoughts
@Felthry I can fill that one in for you. Mostly it's wandering around looking at stuff with a stupid grin on, wondering why you could never actually See the oil wicking into gasket paper before.
It's fun and all, but I learned why humans have perception filters on.
re: Multi thoughts
@Felthry Problem then becomes signal processing and perception filters.
Because your existing senses pick up Way more than you even know how to process without training
I find it really upsetting when I see the idea being spread that “transitioning = trans”. There are lots of trans people who do not transition. They are still trans, because gender identity does not rely on whether or not you transition, and gender identity is what being trans is about. Not HRT, clothing, surgery, or pronouns
Reminder!
Non-binary -is- trans!
Non-transitioning trans folks are trans!
The “trans” umbrella includes us, whether we are transitioning or not!
The middle stripe of the trans flag is -for- us!
The idea that it doesn’t include us is -exclusionary!-
(Though anybody can opt out of the label/community if they personally find that important)
@SixArmedSweater Yup, I dealt with this a Lot.
For me it was always trying to be super extra helpful because everyone treated me like I was inherently unpleasant.
But yeah. You'll do anything at a certain point to get away from a Fight or Conflict. It was a fundamental aspect of why my personality split.
re: nsfw, nudes
@azushark Why would that be a bad thing?
thoughts on cis people trying to wrap their heads around what it's like to be trans
I think cis people trying to understand being trans get it wrong a lot. A cis man who thinks "what if I wanted to be a girl" is looking at it from the wrong direction; they should think instead "I'm a guy, but what if everyone else insisted I was a girl?" (and of course vice versa for a cis woman)
I think that would help them understand better how trans people are discriminated against and just what being trans is like in general
re: plural stuff
@Felthry That's something we'd considered, and we use it for Banishment purposes when there's something Nasty in here that needs to be disposed of, but never really considered using an empathetic focus...
