Okay. Some of you will need to know this.

Plywood shields proof against anything the cops can shoot at you, short of a Firearm, can be made from materials available at Home Depot.

You will need 1/4" or thinner plywood panels, 1" thick styrene insulating foam, and Gorilla Glue or Spray adhesive, like super 77.

A laminate made of styrene foam and thin plywood is stupefyingly light and strong. I made a motor vehicle out of this composite for my Associate's degree.

Demolishing it was more than a Chore, I needed a saw. impact resistant after a decade of dry rot. A shield made of the stuff, and curved slightly, will keep you safe against anything short of 9mm.

Face it with a quarter inch of HDPE sheet, or an eighth of an inch of sapphire fiberglass and resin, and now 9mm is having a hard time Killing you.

Really, Cops don't have employability as anything But cops. Consider the arrogance inherent in the profession, compared to being a Plumber. Or a Coder. Or an office drone.

They'd Perish in those environments.
