Rubber bullets were invented by the British Ministry of Defence for use against the civilian population in Ireland. With these lethal and deadly bullets the British Security Forces killed 17 people between 1972-1989, 8 of those were children and all but one were Catholics.
The PSNI still uses rubber bullets to this day.

Something about the current iteration of the #BlackLivesMatter movement that only just struck me? The number of men--young and old, of all races--who have told the press that the video of George Floyd's death made them cry. Now, AMAB folks who grow up in the USA are trained from birth that "men don't cry", and indeed, that most emotional expression is "unmanly". But seeing a real murder? That broke things open.
Normalize men expressing emotions in healthy ways.
