it's cool that we remind each other to practice self-care, but I can't help but reflect now and again on the fact that our society has reached a point that we need to remind each other to practice basic bodily maintenance in the face of depression, or to not literally work ourselves to death

The real problem is that we don't have a police force we can trust. We in the US have been taught to fear our unruly, unjust police force, and simultaneously are expected to see them as saviors in times of urgent need. These things are incompatible. Far too often, the cops are on the side of the murderers.

Even as a soft friend, a literal stuffed animal who lives to give hugs and love, I am vehemently against new gun legislation in the US because it's all effectively racist.

The only people who enforce gun law are the same cops folks have been protesting in the streets for 211 days as of today.

Gun law is near exclusively used to disarm black and indigenous people of color. We only have gun law today because the Black Panthers being Armed scared people in the 60s.
