@kelseyhusky Look into heavy duty Cardboard tubing. Chances are any place that orders from Mcmaster-carr will receive a lot of their stock in long USPS packing tubes.
I've used them for all kinds of structural and sorting purposes, and if you can find a place to source them for free, it's upcycling.

PVC pipe is okay, but it's sub-optimal for a structural frame, even though the fittings make it seem convenient. The actual structural fittings are better, but it's nice to have something you can staple fabric to.
