socialist/anarchist policies
To be really honest.
Each time I think of something that works out well for most people, it isn't a capitalist or hierarchist policy.
Each time it is:
- more cooperation
- people work for the "lower class", who is actually producing
- distribute goods better, so everyone has more
Like managers actually working for workers, not company owners
Everyone having a basic income so everyone can concentrate on being productive
Then capitalists come in and ruin everything.
That feel when you wanna actually describe your gender and sexuality to an interested boomer but you realize that what might be Very precise and accurate here will sound like word soup to them, and you slowly realize they have absolutely No frame of reference for it than "Hey, you remember all those hippies? Yeah it's like that but online."
I have a dream of a future where all technology is modular, easily replacable, and recyclable.
You phone screen broke? Just replace it and recycle the old one. Your laptop's getting a little slow? Replace the CPU.
This would also require a set of universal adaptors and fittings, so that everything would be compatible with everything else.
And I honestly don't feel like this is a lot to ask?

"-mancy" as a suffix refers in particular to divination. Necromancy was initially specifically divination using the dead or death, although the meaning has spread since then to include any magic involving the dead or death.
A more suitable suffix to indicate general magic might be "-urgy", which means "working". ("Thaumaturgy", for instance, means "the working of miracles or spectacles".)
(This is not a subtoot, I was just inspired by a toot I saw go past.)

Tiny motorcycles, magic potions, machine tools, progressive rock, trance states, and hand sharpened drill bits. Oh, and I read Tarot. Probably 18+ just to be sure.
