All joking and shitposting aside, gender is such a relative and arbitrary notion that He or She as pronouns make as much sense as saying you're a Republican or a Democrat.
Real life's more Complicated than that.
Being Plural means you end up having to negotiate a consensus gender between all your alters, and then come up with a way of explaining that to anyone, Realize it's overcomplicating things for yourselves, but still don't like the singular 'They'
So you opt for the tactic of piling so many gender toppings that any pronouns just don't encompass what's actually on delivery.
Or put another way, it's transcended being a Gender Sandwich, and is now a Gender Salad with an abnormally large Crouton.
