@Felthry Totally! It's cool to keep a smaller Follow list, especially if, when you want more, you dip into the local/federated timeline and still see familiar faces.
For anybody who's like, "Hmm, I wonder what this #StevenUniverse thing is about?" -- please check out this fan video, it's a really good trailer for the series.

@grime_witch@witches.town Hot Cockles was apparently a popular party game. "which involved people taking turns hitting an individual who, blindfolded, had to guess the identity of their striker to emerge victorious."
"One variation of the painful pastime features a woman with her face buried in another’s lap as her tittering friends slap her head"
"A young man is seated upon a pole which may readily turn either way. Immediately beneath him is a vessel nearly filled with water. He holds a taper in each hand, and one of these is lighted. His business, I presume, is to bring both together and light the other." The player had to be careful not to lose his balance during his task, said Strutt, "for, that done, he must inevitably fall into the water"

If you're an American and have read HHGTTG books, you get an extra chuckle when you hear the word 'Belgium'. International readers might not get the joke. Why? American prudish censorship. https://io9.gizmodo.com/5931788/how-american-delicacy-turned-belgium-into-a-dirty-word has the full story

Laziness and frugality are probably frontrunners for why I've no interest in makeup, though I'm sure there's a hefty subconscious fragile masculinity in there too.
It can look so fun though! Expert eyes, delicate application of very subtle changes, attention to detail, surprising tricks, and in the end, transformation! Someday I'm sure I'll try something.
I'm not one for makeup tutorials* but this comic book lines Wonder Woman look looks spectacular!
