@theoutrider @danielcassidy I had an old computer I affectionately named "Bastard" (200mhz cyrix processor). It had overheating problems. Thermal paste on the already dodgy fan was flaky and real bad so the chip constantly would overheat. this remained undetected until I got a new PC whereupon I found the fan had utterly failed, the thermal paste was dead, and it was a miracle the thing didn't catch fire. In an attempt to vent it more, I carved a hole in the case.
