@masklayer long ago my mum once asked if some friends I was going to visit were furries. They were, so I was like "uh...I mean...y-yeah?"
"Oh right! So they're into the whole dressing up as animals thing?"
Insert me hoping this conversation was going to actually be nice and not a basket of facepalm.
"I mean, that's not the whole of it but sure some of them do that"
"Ah okay! Aren't they also into a lot of sex in those out-" Facepalming here "-fits? You will be careful right??

...terribly ignorant about the strangest and most silly things, and then gets all worrysome and fretty about it.
and no amount of "no, mum, that's not how this/that/anything/life/reality works" will calm her. x_x;
