Harassment, some masto ideas

You know, for all the shit I've got, it's still not as much as what people do to Ginny

Imo we should really introduce admin only access to report federation, that would probably help her out a lot

I also think we need to add a window that deleted data sticks around and eventually gets deleted so we can track down abuse instead of letting them delete data and have zero metrics we can use to track em down

@vahnj Treat user accounts like user accounts in SCM. Deleting the data doesn't actually delete the data, it just hides it from public view. It would still be viewable by any administrator.

@PaulFerence I mostly agree with this yes but there needs to be a mechanism for deleting posts after a time limit and visibility into how long that is in the instance details

@vahnj That should be doable, but why?

Harassment, some masto ideas

@PaulFerence it allows you to track down the signup habits of users who create posts, then delete them, which leaves no trace of what happened, both from the post level and from the account level

@PaulFerence I mean, track the habits of people who abuse the system as is

That's actually why registration is closed right now

@vahnj I may be misunderstanding on this. So, hidden but finally deleted after X amount of time, or unable to delete a post for X amount of time?
