Looks like we're expecting rain tomorrow. Ibrecommend dressing for the weather. That includes adequate footwear for muddy trails.

Fuck Wage Slavery

I'm looking at the bright side of all this. I can catch up with everybody in my community, I can put effort into helping complete the arts collective I'm in, I can focus on media production with Cascadia Underground, and I can finally focus on being a cartoonist.

The cabin can wait. All I wish is to pursue the career I've always dreamed of, and give a big fuck you to wage slavery.

And on that note, a friend just offered to put in a good word for me at an Apple store!

That being said, can anyone recommend well-paying part time jobs?

Show thread

Fuck it. I should just find part time work and focus everything on being a cartoonist.

Abstrace vs Concrete...Or lack thereof

It always feels weird calling myself a laser-focused and concrete thinker at work when outside of it I'm always stuck in abstract, creative thinking and existential concepts.

And then I realize just how little this has to do with absolutes. I'm indeed an abstract thinker, but I need a job where I'm a concrete thinker because it's grounding. There is something very zen about falling into the pattern of digging a hole or laying bricks.

We're two days away from the end of March and so much has happened that the whole entire month has gone by like three... Holy shit.

On the inside of my spaceship...

To close up the front end of my van. Encased in total privacy. I am in my own sacred space. The world out there doesn't effect what's in here. Everything that matters is right here, right now, in the present. Inside this little spaceship. Sailing across the universe. Everything that happens out there doesn't affect what is in here.

"If you have been brutally broken but still have the courage to be gentle to other living beings, then you're a badass with a heart of an angel."

Thank you, Keanu Reeves. This sums up my life excellently.

Actually, make that Sunday.

I'm in tears when I say that I care about this community. I love it to death. From deep down in my heart... I want to help in whatever way I can, and contribute my all to it. You're all beautiful people, and with that I strive to be a reliable friend that everyone can count on.

Rumination

It's way too easy to convince oneself that they're going insane. That a situation is worse than it seems... That one can be thoroughly convinced that the world is tumbling around them when in actuality it's all going to be fine.

Rumination

I try so hard to be mindful of what I say that even one bad slip of the tongue leaves me feeling absolutely rotten...

I guess that puts me a step above other people who don't even want to acknowledge that they say unconscious things every now and again.

I just don't want to hurt anyone... At this time, I gotta be kind to myself. I'll always own up to something if it ever hurts anyone's feelings. Because I've been in that boat before.

Rumors

Today is a hard lesson in how grossly I've overestimated humanity. They thought the lobelia tincture I used to quit smoking was CBD.

Time Period of Pete's Dragon (2016)

When I first saw the remake of Pete's Dragon, I didn't know it was set in the 70s until my second watch of it.

Mainly because rural Washington and Oregon towns haven't changed at all since that time period.

Employment

Desired wage would be $15/hour and above.

Looks like I still have yet to hear about an interview from my old company. That being said, I'm checking out opportunities for independent contracting and Dunn Lumber certainly looks good on a resume for that line of employment.

When I say Schmitz Park in West Seattle is its own realm entirely, I mean that whole-heartedly. One step into this magickal old growth wonderland and you're not in Seattle anymore.
