If we were to get a PSP to hack and play old games on (we've heard they're very easy to softmod), does anyone have any suggestions for which model to get? There's the PSP 1000, 2000, 3000, and then a few sub-models of those apparently, and the ill-fated PSP Go model.

@Rosemary definitely the 1000. They were never Homebrew proofed. The 2x and 3x lines had extra protections, but it also depends on what version of the firmware it's already running.

@kaiyote Interesting. People we've talked to elsewhere have said they're all equally moddable, and the 2000/3000 just have better specs.

@Rosemary It's been a long time since we bothered with soft modding the old PSPs. Just remembered from like 10 years ago the 1x line was way easier to deal with. If you've got solid leads on dealing with the newer ones though, then go for it.
