@JulieSqveakaroo It might be a good idea to attach a hose to that to take it somewhere it would be less of a problem.

@Rosemary Sadly, that's not an option.

The overflow piping opens directly over the drain, but far too much water was coming out for the drain to take.

Basically, the thermostat is shot, never stopped heating the water, and the overflow did it's job... but in the process opened up rather widely, and water just kept pumping through while we were sleeping... a LOT of water.

The carpet soak isn't bad... maybe 6 - 10 inches out.
