You might expect that side games and spinoff series would almost always have worse stories than the main series, since they're throwing out the series conventions and even sometimes throwing out the established canon too in favor of something new.
At least, you might think that if you've never played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Seriously, do yourself a favor and at least play Explorers of Sky.
@Rosemary We've been playing Blue Mystery Dungeon lately and it's very fun for us. We like it more now than we did when we first got it and it's just so heartwarming and enjoyable to play.
