@InspectorCaracal@tootplanet.space @Terrana@tootplanet.space @Rowyn@tootplanet.space Like, Bloodstained is made by Igarashi, the same person who directed most of the Castlevania games, but he's not working for Konami anymore.

@InspectorCaracal@tootplanet.space @Terrana@tootplanet.space @Rowyn@tootplanet.space Well, they're made by individual developers working with a different company or on their own after they left the AAA-game company.

@InspectorCaracal@tootplanet.space @Terrana@tootplanet.space @Rowyn@tootplanet.space Some are even from major developers who've made AAA games as well--looking at the upcoming Bloodstained in particular. And I guess Mighty No. 9 too.

@InspectorCaracal@tootplanet.space @Terrana@tootplanet.space @Rowyn@tootplanet.space Some of them are even good!

@Terrana@tootplanet.space Come to think of it, though, I'm treating it more like a quality thing than a budget thing, which is what it's supposed to be. There are plenty of low-quality triple-A games.

@Terrana@tootplanet.space Though I suppose you could just take the A-F grading system and use that.

@Terrana@tootplanet.space And then there are the really terrible ones, like Ninjabread Man, the only redeeming quality of which is its name. I'm not sure what letter that would get, or if there are even enough letters in the alphabet.

@Terrana@tootplanet.space In any case, I wonder what games would be considered other letter grades.

There is the concept of a B-movie as a low-budget, usually low-quality movie. I suppose you could translate that to video games.

@Terrana@tootplanet.space We always assumed it started as sort of a joke, or something. Though we never really thought about it much.

@fribbledom We're quite fond of birch beer! It's very hard to get in our area though. It tastes like a weaker version of root beer, with a fairly strong taste of wintergreen, and it's excellent.

Being out of a medication you've become dependent on can really suck.

Two days without it now, and we'll probably have one more minimum before the new prescription gets here.

It's making us extremely tired. Just as a withdrawal effect of the medicine, not out of exasperation or anything.

@Terrana@tootplanet.space A well-earned rest.

@Nine @noelle Maybe the selling point is convenience? After all, you can forget a key, but most people have difficulty forgetting their fingers.

@Nine @noelle Even they can't have been that stupid; I'm sure the resting position of the solenoid is the locked position.

Someone should send one of those locks to bigclive to see how horribly designed they are, though...

@Nine @noelle I'll be surprised if you can't do something to it through that usb port on the bottom, too. Try shoving twelve volts into it or something, I bet _something_ will happen to it. Less destructively, you can probably hack it through some vulnerability in its firmware.

@noelle Well, they're not wrong....

Oh wait, bolt cutters.

@witchfynder_finder in response to the "have you ever seen a dreamcast": Yes, we own one, it still works. :P
