I wonder if an unconscious understanding that we're plural is why we liked Baten Kaitos so much? In it, you play as the guardian spirit of the main character Kalas; essentially his headmate.

Tidus from Final Fantasy X is actually fairly relatable as a member of a multiple system. Partway through the story he learns that he doesn't exist in the way others tend to define "exist", but... he's able to take it in stride, because in every way that really matters he does exist.
@esp And then to some multiple systems like us, we each have our own color independent of what colors we are. Mine is blue, and Felthry's is green. Anden says theirs is red, but they never front so we've not had cause to use it.

@dodec That sounds reasonable. I suspect anywhere that sells shirts would also offer shirt parts, too; sleeves that match their shirts, for example, to be added by a tailor. And similarly for pants, of course.
@dodec Does she have to get custom-tailored clothing, or does she live in a place where you can get multi-limbed clothing without much hassle?
