why aren't there efforts to get the people who do these things to rehabilitation facilities

I just don't understand how anyone could do something like that and not feel terrible about it

how can people take joy in causing pain to others? how do people get any enjoyment out of tormenting others? why do people do these things that tear apart friendships and

how can someone go through life not caring about other people

Why does everything have to be terrible today?

I don't know what's going on, but we've heard enough fragments about it to be terrified of losing a safe space, one of the best communities we've ever been part of, and just of losing friends over something we don't know anything about and I don't know what to do

I'm terrified that mastodon is going to fall apart. I'm worried that someone will get mad at us for simply trying to stay out of it. I'm worried that we're going to lose one of the best things that's ever happened to us.

I'm worried about whatever it is that's going on on here lately... Multiple people we know have, temporarily or permanently, left the fediverse over it, and others seem to be up in arms at each other...

I don't think we could handle knowing the details of what's happening, though.

In pokemon games, it might seem a little strange that fighting moves are not very effective against bug types, but think about it: Have you ever tried to punch a fly?

Perhaps we'll skip over the hundred or so sports games that are in the collection, and try to remove shovelware when we know it's shovelware.

Hmm. We're trying to mirror the Internet Archive's collection of PS2 isos, but it looks like we won't have enough space on our hard drive for that. We might end up getting a second storage drive in a few weeks.

For the time being, I suppose we'll get what we can fit. We're worried about the state of video game archiving after emuparadise shut down.

There's a small amount of worry that tomorrow they're going to start a new, even better sale, but... Better to know we'll get it for a decent price than chance being able to get it for an amazing price, I suppose.

EVGA has a very good reputation for their customer service, and their warranty seems very good. I think that's worth the extra money over the Gigabyte card we were looking at, where several reviews complained about poor customer service.

Well, we've ordered a graphics card now. An EVGA dual-fan 1060 6GB for $280. I wish we could have gotten it a bit cheaper, but prices don't seem to be dropping much and the price on this was about to go back up to $300 tomorrow.
