Into the Breach was apparently the 17th best selling game on the eShop for August

The devs seemed pretty unsure about a Switch port so I'm glad it paid off, good game

@ShugoWah it's a great game, I love it

i'm in a patreon discord server about game design and every month we choose a game to play and talk about, one month we played Into the Breach and ones of the devs came to answer questions and stuff, it was really cool

but no touchscreen controls fucking baffles me, people play the pc version with a touchscreen all the time and it rules

@monorail Yeah that's really disappointing, haha

Having it on the go is cool, but in general I'm getting tired of third party parts that just treat the Switch like a screen with a gamepad. I think every game should at least have some incredibly basic touch UI effort put in

@monorail Like basic no-brainer shit like tapping the map in Fortnite to expand it, stuff like that

@ShugoWah i'm not even really sure if i would go /that/ far because in a lot of cases it'd be such a minor benefit that i'm not convinced it would be worth it

but for itb it's such an obvious missed opportunity...

@ShugoWah (in general I agree but I don't think /every/ game needs it, to clarify)

@monorail I just want some effort instead of literally zero I guess, haha

@ShugoWah I think at the end of the day I don't care how much effort went into something. If someone's cat stepped on their keyboard and happened to program the greatest game of all time, I'd pay for it, y'know?

So I don't mind if people don't put extra effort into their switch ports if doing so wouldn't meaningfully improve the experience
