mm trying to decide if I wanna, like
move from Linux Mint to Ubuntu before I get too dug in. I like how Mint does things but Ubuntu seems like it's a bit more supported, especially going forward with Steam
@ShugoWah I'd recommend a distro based on ubuntu rather than ubuntu itself. I've been rocking lubuntu the past couple days and liking it
should be just as well supported as ubuntu proper but without Canonical's bullshit
@ShugoWah TO BE HONEST Mint is basically a "fixed" version of Ubuntu. Unless you specifically prefer the default Ubuntu desktop then I don't recommend
@sugar @ShugoWah You are correct but "2 months" is more like "4 years". https://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/01/18/ubuntu_retires_scopes_unity_lts_gnu_linux/
I think the latest versions still have a launcher of sorts for amazon which just pulls up the web page in the default browser when you select it
Switching it would literally take like. a couple hours, maybe. That's part of the magic of a Linux based OS, it's all so lightweight and fast
