I've seen so many people from gifted programs end up diagnosed with ADHD (or report, since adult diagnosis is apparently a nightmare), that sometimes I wonder if we just took an entire generation and told them "your illness makes you special" and then refused to help them at all

I'm honestly not sure if this applies to me. I don't know if it's worth the hassle to find out.

But like, I'm sitting here tweeting instead of doing the thing with a Friday deadline. And earlier today, I fixed a networking problem. Yesterday, photometry bugs.

The day before, automated a type of diagnostic that might help us diagnose some intermittent hardware problems. I actually haven't worked on the Friday thing at all.

It's boring, and all the other little things caught my interest instead. I stayed up until 3am on one of them.

Let's just say that I have a pet theory about the "Never does homework" part of "Never does homework, but gets good grades anyway"

But like, I really hesitate to claim that I have it because I've never tried to get diagnosed, and I don't want to make that kind of false claim.

... on the other hand, sometimes I forget which parts I've already cleaned while I'm showering, so.
