I dreamt that I had hurt my leg somehow and was temporarily in a wheelchair. I could walk a little without it, but it wasn't a great idea. It was getting near to the holidays, and I was at an outdoor mall shopping, I'd just made my purchases and was heading home across this wooden bridge thing over a grassy uneven field below.

I saw this guy coming up toward the mall, with this really odd long boxy thing that I thought might have been a gun, but wasn't sure.

I was really wary as he approached (I was wearing something that had a pin or a BLM-type message on it), and it must have shown. "Let me show you something," he said, and put the long boxy thing to his shoulder and fired at me. He missed and I went over the side of the bridge thing. I knew I couldn't run away, it was all open space and he had a rifle. I had to stay under the wooden foot bridge and move toward him, keep it between me and him.

I jog-limped as fast as I could to get underneath him. He dropped over the side of the footbridge too, right next to me, and I got my hands on his boxy rifle. We struggled, I got it away from him. I pointed it at him and tried to back away, searching for the trigger.

I had him in the sights now and thought "I'm bad with faces, I need to memorize his face so I can pick him out of a lineup later. Do I shoot? Can I even be sure of hitting him? He missed me earlier."
