Ah yeah, low blood sugar isn't a side-effect of being diabetic, it's a side-effect of the insulin that some diabetics take. It can be a reaction to accidentally taking too much insulin.

Diabetics will typically have too-high blood sugar normally, because we don't produce enough or any insulin.

Non-fasting 83 is healthy. It's possible that yours drops down a little lower than average and makes you feel a little off, but you're not in danger of a severe reaction.
