I currently work with an awesome kid who has down syndrome, but I'm applying to work additionally with autistic kids as a behavior therapist.
It's very cool to hear that other folks are using these same techniques.

My kid was on vacation this week, so I spent the week making educational materials for him.
As old-school as laminating and hand-binding books is, the process is really relaxing. And empowering! It's cool to be able to make customized materials for him on site.

In general though I would give it a few weeks. Most people I know have rarely made connections on there right away.

OkCupid can be tricky. I'd give it a few weeks. At least in my experience (which has been as a girl looking for girls and as an enby looking for girls/enbies), it takes longer to get responses from ladies than men.
