I think using karyotypes to describe genitalia is difficult and misleading. Very few people get karyotyped at *any* point in their lives, so while for example I can assume based on my phenotype that have an XX arrangement, I wouldn't actually know unless I get that karyotype done.
Phenotype is more readily observable and medically useful. "I'm a person with ovaries" is more useful to a doctor than "XX".

Throwing in my enboi 2 cents, but yeah, I agree with this. I like "I grew up being misgendered as a woman" rather than AFAB.
I took today off work, since my kid is out sick and I wouldn't have anything to do. I feel a little guilty about "calling in sick" when "calling in sleepy" would be more appropriate, but not /that/ guilty.
Looks like my punishment for this is subbing for my coworker tomorrow, and working with the "girl who doesn't listen to women". Greeeat.
[taps mic] now would be a good time to announce that I'm working on a list of Games With LGBTQ Characters Releasing in 2018 for @JStationX!
If you're making a game that fits that description please @ me! I cannot guarantee that your game will be featured but I would love to hear about it :)
I hope that I, too, will grow big and spicy with age.
Ooh that's a great idea! Thanks for doing that!!
I cw food, and hide long posts under a topical tag, kinda like lj cuts.
Newish indeed! A person on Twitter is making folks demon avatars for $15 so I took em up on it. Thanks. C:

Yeah, I've heard that before, too.
I like being in a headspace similar to little space/subspace. Just sorta blissing out and being peaceful and creative, and most of all, vulnerable. I can't really do that around other people though so idk what I'd even call it.
That's what she... Sorry.

For sure. I get the confidence thing. I just mean most ppl consider them fetish wear, so it could get read as inappropriate for work.
Are day collars more subtle?
I had a friend who wore a gold bracelet with a tiny lock on it as her "collar". It was discrete, it was almost... /Too/ discreet, ya know?

Oooh that sounds really amazing! What a great opportunity, for you and those kiddos!
I'm always so amazed when I meet young, confident queer and/or trans people. It's pretty great how early kids are accepting themselves.
Parents can be pretty awful. I work with kids at the elementary school level, so the parents aren't *too* visibly bad yet, because the kids aren't expressing independence yet. But I can imagine how dealing with parents at a higher grade level would be tough.
