Welp now I'm on hold with Medi-Cal. But at least I called!!

Does anyone have a favorite youtube channel for learning ASL?

CW: $ mention

Okay, time to make the Big Scary Phone calls.

First, to get paid for care providing back in SEPTEMBER. $500, here I come.

@fireh9lly

What color are they normally?

Also hi, you're really pretty!

@catoutofbed@octodon.social

Ah, that's real.

Hm, coffeeshop near home maybe? Even if that feels silly, you can avoid traffic that way.

@catoutofbed@octodon.social

Ugh this is annoying.

Usually in these situations I go to a coffeeshop and read for a bit, then head home.

CW: Medi-Cal, stress

@catterfly

Awwww I've got actual internet cheerleaders!! Gosh thank you! :3

@catoutofbed@octodon.social

Thank you!! <33

@catoutofbed@octodon.social

Night night, friend. <3 thanks, I hope so too! I feel bad about missing more work, but ~sick~ so whatcha gonna do?

Also nervous about Medi-Cal but I know I can slay my metaphorical dragon if I really try. (Slaying bureaucrats being more imaginable than dragons, which are cute actually)

CW: Medi-Cal, stress

I need to remember to call medi cal in the morning.

I moved counties so I think I might need to reapply to a new health care plan or something.

I've been putting off doing this because the idea is so stressful, but I very much need to see a doctor and anyway test strips are too expensive without insurance.

Wish me luck doing the Big Scary Thing tomorrow.

Gonna go to bed early and maybe call in sick for the first half of tomorrow too.

Ripppp any expectation of getting a liveable paycheck this month. -_-

Hi friends~

How is everyone doing tonight?

I worked for the 1st half of the day, then went home sick. My immune system is still getting used to kiddos!

CW: food, diabetes

Someone named Ginger Vieira wrote a book called "Emotional Eating With Diabetes" and omg! I haven't read it yet but I struggle so much with emotional overeating while type 1 diabetic and I think reading it might help me build a better relationship with food.

CW: autism (cute), food

Last week I taught a group of about 6 autistic kiddos, aged ~ 3-6.

We were making rice crispy treats.

I passed around the bag of marshmallows and asked the kiddos to add 2 spoonfuls to the mix, and not to eat any.

Tl;dr, we accidentally enacted the classic Psych 101 marshmallow test, and it was *so cute*.

Halppp this fragile queer bby only got 6 hours of sleep last night

architects beware: if you only build men's and women's restrooms, non-binary people are legally allowed to pee anywhere in the building
