Blegh. I'm terrible at push-ups. I usually do the modified, against-a-countertop ones instead because I can't actually do a real one.
I tried looking up 'wall planks' and initially got construction materials. :P
Could you tell me which one of these is the one you're referring to? (in pic)

Word. I have a lot of ground work to do in order to build more strength and stability which will let me learn more interesting things. Right now my flexibility is good, but my core and arm strength is not where it needs to be in order to excel.
The pole/aerial studio also offers 5-and-10 class passes. I could get one of those to keep my interest up while I train at a more traditional gym.
@alyx@witches.town Each contract is a 3 month commitment, and I would need to contact them to end it after that period (it doesn't automatically end).
So in theory I could do one for 3 months, and then switch to the other.
I'm also thinking about getting a Y membership, for more flexibility in terms of times/ways I can get my exercise in. It's also $32/month until I turn 27 (in October), when it then goes up to $54/month.

Well, I had a 5 class pass for 3 months, and only used 4/5 of the passes. But I also wasn't under any pressure to use them quickly?
My ideal would be 2-3 pole classes/week and 1 aerial yoga class (they only offer 1/week anyway). Which lends itself to the unlimited pass. But I worry it might begin to feel like a waste of money if I can't go as often as I'd like.
@bunnylyn he's 98% taco bell, from what I've heard
@erinbee Ooh, that's a great idea~ Science centers are awesome. One of the kiddos I teach lives between the Lawrence Hall of Science and the Chabot Space Center, and I reeeeally wanna go on an outing with him sometime. :D
I figured it would be something like that! Different districts do the details differently, but I think all public schools are required to have the same total amount of teaching time, across the US. We started August 21st and get out June 7th.

@lizardsquid Take care of yourself and do what you need to do. :)
The playground is always a good choice! Also, do you have any kid-friendly museums or zoos nearby?
Unfortunately (for me :P) no, our break isn't until the first week of April. So not long now! I have some friends in college who just finished theirs, though.
Did you say your break was 2 weeks long? :O
@erinbee Is this Spring Break for you as a student, or break for your child? (or both?)
@erinbee Hi! Likewise. How have you been?
Q, CW: body image, sex, objectification
Question for other ppl who have biggish tummies like myself:
How do you feel when/if a sex partner (who never previously mentioned having a fat fetish to you) gets really (vocally) excited about your "tum", calls you "so cute and fluffy", or pets it without asking?
I personally feel super grossed/creeped out and objectified. But I'm sure this experience must feel validating to other folx. What do you think?
There are multiple ways to make paper hats??
