Hey I'm Sparrow~
I'm 26 and a recent college graduate with degrees in anthropology & psychology. I'm bi (I like ladies & non-binary folks) and ID as non-binary. I use they/them pronouns.
I currently work as a paraeducator in an elementary school setting. I'm hoping to get a second job as a behavior therapist soon.
Other stuff: I like weird art, playing DnD with my pals, reading (especially horror), & enjoying nature/wildlife.
I have a video interview scheduled for this Tuesday with the behavior therapy group I'm interested in joining.
I'm nervous! But! I'll probably be okay.
One nice thing: The clinical director of the East Bay office mentions having a wife in her public bio. So hopefully it'll be a place I can be openly queer.
Self-doubt, job hunting
Still going for that second job in Behavior Therapy, despite self doubts.
Employers want to talk to me and that's good but also terrifying. My self-evaluation of how well I can do at the job seems totally mood-dependent.
Sometimes I'm "Yeeeah bring it on!!" and other times (like now) I want to cocoon up in some blankets and hide.
Play this game by @ldurrant@mastodon.art! IT'S HECKING AMAZING.
Oh and afford insulin.
Tho in my dreamscape we have universal healthcare and I don't have to decide between rent and medicine.
Restaurant concept: You're seated at a table with a selection of jams, spreads, syrups, etc. There's a toaster in the center. A server brings you things you can toast, and premium toppings like fancy cheeses and avocado.
