Of trauma and transformations, twitter crossposting

If you want to be an animal you can just be an animal.
wanting to is all it takes. The rest is details.

It is and isn't that simple, but
Consensus reality is, like, weird like that.
We can just... choose to see each other certain ways
What, wait... until technology catches up?
what do you think we're using now?
what we're doing with avatars of fur?
We define the possibilities. We already have.
That is a power we have as beings.
Rules and laws that shape how we think,
in ways we often can't consider
but enough deciding enough can change a tide.
There is great responsibility in this all, i feel.
We here on Terra are a traumatized being.
desperately trying to claw our way
out of countless years of trauma
that we perpetuate over and over
(sci-fi takes of perpetual war parse,
like hopeless depression takes)
If it sounds bad, it is. We all know it is.
but it means there is hope.
that we're worthy of brighter days
worthy of healing and of our dreams.
any internal screeches of impossibility fade in time.
for theirs is the voice of the inner critic we must silence.
It's... connected.
I mean it's stuff of my life but truly it is ~all~ interconnected.
Healing is, after all, a transformation.

@Oneironott This is lovely.
It's true, we are all seeing one another through the internet as our true selves. Maybe some meet up in person, but I still think the avatars we use to define ourselves are much more important. Validating those avatars through our interactions, too.

The technology will get better, more wonderful, I'd like to think. But at least at the moment, we have the theory and the philosophy already going strong.
