social anxiety

A lot of my social anxiety comes from when I feel like I've had enough of conversation-ing but whoever I'm talking with is very much not and I don't want to be inconsiderate and reject them, especially when my Conversation Capacity runs out in like twenty minutes or so, although sometimes it can recover by finding some kind of mutual activity

re: social anxiety

@kistaro This feels a familiar feeling to me. I feel like some people just like hearing themselves talk and I'm over here just *brain white noise*.

re: social anxiety

@Taylor @kistaro — move somewhere else until your English vocabulary devolves into a top 100 list. The louder and longer your sentences get, the more your English will sound like pudding!

Not having English as your native language sucks sometimes. Native speakers can easily dominate, even if they don't mean to.

re: social anxiety

@bluefire @kistaro I'm not sure what you're saying, english *is* my native language.
It's just that if my stamina for a specific person or subject runs out before the person talking to me, I tune out processing the conversation, and my noise-filled brain is unable to say that I'd like to... end or divert the conversation.
... so it can feel like some people like to hear themselves talk, especially if it keeps happing with specific people.

re: social anxiety

@Taylor @kistaro — I'm saying that, in my case, English isn't my native language.

...it was mostly a joke that fell flat. I just wanted to say that I know what it feels like, even though it may be for completely different reasons.
