@Oneironott With nanomachines usually being represented as goo because of how small they are, I wasn't sure if the goo wouldn't just be more nanomachines.

@kistaro It *is* interesting how there's a pattern of dragons liking latex and toys, and I have noticed a bit of a pattern regarding the "Lisa Frank ace vorey kaiju". (And, unfortunately, discourse-happy on-birdsite-too-much harassment.)
I wish I had more to say on it beyond, hm, there *do* seem to be patterns going on. Maybe sometimes it's "mimicry is the sincerest form of flattery", in that subcultures like this are born from mirroring one another. Or maybe even there's different desires being drawn from the shared concepts and interests...

@kistaro Video adverts that float in a corner or something of some article websites are just atrocious design. I'm glad I generally don't go to websites that get into that sort of behaviour, or otherwise have uBlock (desktop and mobile)... but I've seen my parents deal with that on Safari on Mac and I'm just... *sobs in a corner*
religion and calendars
I wonder what it would take for another calendar numbering shift to occur. Like, some bozos introduced "BC" and "AD" and numbered the years around that.
I guess it was mostly for a more accurate calendar, but the BC/AD thing was We Sure Apotheosise This One Guy.
There probably won't be a new calendar system unless we realise the current one has been off this whole time or blow something up and throw off the orbit.
Which in turn means there may be no excuse for new year numbering. Especially when we've built computers around this one.

Since there is not, it means time travel is impossible.
Woke: given infinite time and possibilities, there would be equally infinite timelines no one ends up travelling to specific eras for, and we just happen to be in that one.
