@IceWolf I guess I just feel comfortable enough here to let pretty much anyone follow me, honestly! Locking my account feels like putting up unnecessary walls when I'm proactive enough with blocks that people I explicitly don't want here don't get in anyway.

(of course, it also helps that this instance runs on a whitelist basis)

For me it's not so much about "some creep will follow me" as that I like to be able to talk about semi-private stuff in followers-only posts and /know/ who it's going to.

@IceWolf Makes perfect sense; I do *plenty* of the same myself, but generally if people take issue with the stuff I talk about in a place that they themselves took the time to follow, that's -their- problem, I feel.

Not that that's going to work as well for everyone, of course.

@Thaminga Ah, see, for me it's more "you shouldn't see this in the first place if I haven't okayed it" than "you might get upset at seeing this". More about privacy. (:
