Game thoughts

Thinking about how frustrating and annoying Morrowind's cut to battle music have always been.

Like, there's points in a game that do call for a sudden shift in music, especially on momentuous occasions, but it was definitely one of the weaker points in Morrowind that it always had those jarring shifts towards the battle music.

Often it was even before you knew what creature you aggro'd, nothing in sight. So you look up and realise it's ANOTHER cliff racer hovering above your head.

re: Game thoughts

It's probably got something to do with technical limitations ofc. The game is old as heck, though then again, there's a lot of games just as old as Morrowind that have less annoying music transitions x3

@JoeyBuckaroo Yeah, my go to excuse would've been "it was literally 2002", but then again... No One Lives Forever managed to nail this two years earlier. ᖍ🐺ᖌ

@Thaminga Oh yeah definitely. It's also still just a minor gripe because it's still one of my favourite games of all time but dang, those memories of peacefully walking around, and hearing battle music out of nowhere, are quite annoying xD
