re: Soc thoughts, personal vs. conventional
@Kyresti Given the sheer toxicity of so many of the systems currently in place that rule society as it is, I dare say being a productive member of society and being a healthy member of it are practically mutually exclusive.
The way things currently are forces us increasingly to devote more of our time, more of *ourselves* in general to the people we work for that it leaves no room for anything else - not for personal development, not for caring about other people, not really for much of anything. You work, you maintain yourself and your household, and unless you have help with one or the other that's it - the rest of your time is spent sleeping and fulfilling other basic needs required to continue existing. That's not a sustainable mode of existence in the slightest.
