guide to sci-fi planetology progress
FINALLY got a fucking environmental classification scheme out of the way that should at least be relatively universally applicable
who knew how long that could get if you're trying to work off of existing systems for this kind of thing and extend them to fit damn near every vaguely earth-like planet possible
shit takes up like 45,000 characters/7,000 words all of its own and it's still broad as hell
working on this thing some more with the perfect work music for a project like this https://awoo.space/media/ZsfTh9G6OSypdc5lIZQ
existential horror
writing more about evolution/how life works for this damn document, found out along the way that box jellyfish have eyes
lots of them
surprisingly human-like ones
I'm not entirely sure if I should scream, be intrigued or in awe, and I'm pretty sure the English language lacks a real word for the emotion I'm currently having

been working on this more still lately and... think I've got all the actual astronomy bits down?
got an overview of stars and possible star systems, physical params for habitable worlds, atmospheres, climatology, a bunch of writing on the overall biosphere, huge chapter on how to render all of that visually including sky and visual sun colors, effects on shadows, various atmospheric phenomena, etc
think I'm ready to move on to the actual worldbuilding bits?
in other news, can you tell I really like writing from a non-human perspective https://awoo.space/media/2-UahhMm3fSf-aY8hkA

kinda proud of myself that I managed to keep this not-horny somehow given the subject matter 👀 https://awoo.space/media/9ZDJ0IzASalbya4Ubk4
oh hey look at that, typos
that's why this is all still an initial draft I guess
