sci-fi worldbuilding guide progress

Actually did by far most of the work on this last night save for a very quick update just now, but here's a thing that'll also be featured in the guide I'm working on~

desmos.com/calculator/bpkpr3wr

It's essentially a universal solar altitude calculator. Values are in degrees, orange curve is height at solar noon, the blue one is height at solar midnight. For the values:
L = latitude
T = axial tilt
P = orbital period
E = eccentricity
A = anomaly

sci-fi worldbuilding guide progress

"Anomaly" here being the angle of the world to its orbit at 90° away from periastron.

The dashed line, in addition is a representation of temperature swings due to eccentricity; divide the values you get from this by 45, multiply by the average temperature of your world to get a rough idea of how big these will be before worldwide climatic effects.

Dick around with the sliders to see what happens, use it for your projects I guess~
