When listing off races, especially minorities, make sure to capitalize Black - and here's why.
Slavery and the diaspora tore any semblance of culture away from the Black people born outside of Africa. Not only that, but it was supplanted by puritanical beliefs and practices, which is why most Black people root themselves in some form of fundamentalism or Christianity.
The culture Black people enjoy now was made from nothing and the ethnicity deserves the same recognition bestowed to others.
