broke: retro as a means of expressing uncritical nostalgia for more conservative times and closing oneself off from the present day and the future
woke: retro as a means of reclaiming broken promises of a future that was outright stolen from us and recontextualizing old aesthetics that deserve better than the time they existed in/provide useful inspiration for new things
- a microSD card weighs somewhere around 0.4g
- the highest capacity microSD that's easily available is 256GB
- a trebuchet can throw a 90kg projectile over 300m
90kg worth of microSD cards is 225,000 of them
Therefore a trebuchet can throw 57.6PB of data over 300m
This would have the highest throughput of any telecommunications network ever created

paper doll of an inflatable wolfess with five different outfits scribbled on top: 1982 (big curly hair with a rose in it, short dress with zebra print, stonewash bell bottoms and a jacket with padded shoulders), 1992 (aerobics outfit with a short belly shirt underneath in period-specific patterns, also leg warmers), 2002 (transparent shorts with attached leggings, puffy jacket and a top underneath, also earrings), 2012 (short top, skirt and form-fitting pants with a futuristic pair of boots, also transparent gloves), 2022 (full cyberpunk with a long sleeveless coat, stilettos, gloves and a short top and pants with prominent hexagonal patterns)
personal worldbuilding notes, calendar/date format shenanigans inspired by a straight up shitpost
Northern Isarthakan calendar (most of Krasma and umAŕneth, Faekak, Tovelen and Ïslekhante in north-central Dorzhen, also used worldwide):
322 or 321 days long divided into 6 seasons consisting of 3 months* (17 to 18 days) each, with the spring and fall equinoxes as their own separate days, with the leap day in mid-winter
typical date formats: yyyy/s/m/dd (worldwide), yyyy/mm/dd (Kǁingarúp-Egyashko-K'epeħa), dd/m/s/yyyy (umVarlakh-thalKanneqith)
Southern Isarthakan calendar (most of Dorzhen, Øttivileq {western umAŕneth), the Ciskrasmic Isles, Auakea, Uyatkuch and Dhaalettu in south-central Krasma):
same year length, but subdivided into 14 months* of 23 days each with one clipped off of the first month in short years.
typical date formats: yyyy/mm/dd (most areas), dd/mm/yyyy (Øttivileq and the Ciskrasmic Isles), mm/yyyy/dd (Auakea, where even the people who live there have no idea why they don't just use a more sensible system)
* Isarthaka doesn't actually have any satellites beyond the occasional temporary asteroid caught in orbit around the planet; these periods are completely arbitrary as a result.
insomnia, complaining about neighborhood (-, obviously)
ah yes, spring is right around the corner which means it's time to be systematically deprived of sleep by the metric asston of pigeons out here again who perch practically right outside my window and make themselves heard to the entire general area 🙃
why do people keep these flying rats for fun and why do I have to share a neighborhood with multiple of those people
dreams, HRT (~-)
Yesterday: an intensely vivid dream involving the possibility of moving to another country, closer to friends.
Today: another intensely vivid dream this time involving me finally getting to start HRT after all the bullshit I've had to suffer from the local gender clinic in the past year, after a total of four years of waiting.
I really appreciate that you're trying to bring me some happiness brain, but it just makes waking up from these suck all the more.
