@Leucrotta Well, hypothetically they could be alternatives but we should be honest that the systemic and historic issues tied to their ineffectiveness is complicated from how each state runs its ballots (and how to get on them) differently, the use of alternate parties as ratf*ck operations, as well as how the Democrats and Republicans are essentially conglomerations of different factions that work together unlike in other democracies where parties operate more narrowly.
@Leucrotta I would love to see robust alternate party options but we need to be honest that such a thing would take several decades of work and there are valid concerns about how that in the past that has been used to disenfranchise and break voting blocs.
