It’s a real kick in the teeth to be told, “You’re on your own” 45 minutes before the next round of ice storms (and less than 2 hours before sundown). Texas needs to stop complaining about once in a generation storms and start winterizing it’s infrastructure.

@oceanotter I personally dont think it is cowardice. You can keep up with world events other ways. Birdsite made everything hyper immediate including long standing problems. That can cause stress and make it harder to deal with personal and social problems. Without even touching the well documented "engagement" algorithm that tended to push forward some questionable takes/arguments.
Tldr: you cant do anything about systemic problems if youre eaten by stress
