Re: the AI Seinfeld. It's not absurd or surreal, both require the expectation of a baseline rationality or reality. At best it can be described as arbitrary. And that's generally the issue with AI stuff--its intentionality is severely limited because the people who create these systems don't understand creative intentionality. They're a bid to do away with a creative class that the management class doesn't see value in, because to their minds creative output is essentially arbitrary anyway.
